James P. Laurito is president and chief executive officer of New York State Electric and Gas Corporation and Rochester Gas and Electric Corporation. From October 2000 to April 2003, Mr. Laurito was president and chief executive officer of the Southern Connecticut Gas Company and Connecticut Natural Gas Corporation. From 1997 until October 2000, Mr. Laurito was vice president, Business Development, and then president of The Energy Network, Inc. (TEN). Prior to joining TEN, Mr. Laurito was president and chief executive officer of Consumers Applied Technologies, Inc. He has also served as president of Cochrane Environmental Systems, Inc. and vice president and general manager of U.S. Filter Corporation. Mr. Laurito is a trustee of the Northeast Region Boys and Girls Clubs of America. He serves on the boards of the Edison Electric Institute, Metropolitan Development Association, Rochester Business Alliance, Center for Governmental Research and Greater Rochester Enterprise Executive Committee.
