To All Depository Institutions and Others Concerned in the Second Federal Reserve District:

Our Circular NO. 10855, dated June 12, 1996, contained proposals to amend Federal Reserve Regulations G, T, and U, regarding Securities Credit Transactions. The Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System has extended the comment period on those posposals to August 2, 1996.

The text of the Board's official notice of the extension, as published in the Federal Register of July 1. Comments thereon should be submitted to the Board, as specified in the notice, or, at this Bank, to Counsel, Legal Department; Robert Toomey, Attorney, Legal Department; or Robert Guthmuller, Supervising Examiner, Financial Examination Staff.
