Technical Corrections

To All Depository Institutions and Others Concerned in the Second Federal Reserve District:

We recently sent a set of our new series of operating circulars to the chief executive officers of all depository institutions, and to others in the Second Federal Reserve District who maintained sets of the superseded operating circulars (see Circular No. 10988, dated October 20, 1997).

Additional sets will be provided at a price of $8.00 per set ($15.00 if the set is to be mailed); your check should be payable in advance to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Requests should be sent to our Public Information Department, 33 Liberty Street, New York, NY 10045 (Tel. No. 212-720-6134) and should indicate the name and address of the person to whom updates may be mailed. There will be no charge for the updating service.

Ordinarily, there will be no charge for individual operating circulars. We reserve the right, however, to impose a charge on requests for bulk shipments.

Before ordering sets, or copies, of operating circulars, note that all operating circulars are available on this site.

Technical corrections

In Operating Circular No. 1, on Account Relationships, the first sentence of Section 1.1, on page 1, should read as follows (the corrections are underscored):

This operating circular and appendices ("Circular") establish the terms for opening, maintaining, and terminating master accounts with the Federal Reserve Bank of New York ("we" or "us").

On the cover of Operating Circular No. 9, the last word in the title of the circular was misspelled. The title should read "Federal Tax Payments and Treasury Tax & Loan Depositaries".
