Why the Fed?

The research department at the New York Fed provides a great mixture of academic research and current analysis of the economy. As a young person just beginning my career, this has afforded me important opportunities to explore and develop different areas of my interest in economic research.

My Responsibilities

I support our economists in their academic research and analysis of the current conditions of the U.S. economy. Specifically, this often means writing and editing econometric programs, preparing documents for internal and external publication, and providing an alternative viewpoint when working out solutions to the problems we face.

Challenges and Rewards of My Job

The economists that I work with on a day to day basis are some of the brightest people I’ve ever met. The most challenging part of my job is keeping up with them and making sure that I continue to support them well by bringing innovative ideas to the table.
