Why the Fed?
The Fed is without a doubt one of the most important institutions in modern history. I am very proud to be working for such a great organization. The quality of work being performed by its employees is first class. Also, the Fed offers great benefits such as heath care, flexible working hours, 401K plan with 100 percent matching contribution. The Fed encourages mobility within the organization which I certainly took advantage of having worked for two different departments already. The New York Fed also continues to its commitment to diversity in the workplace.
As a staff director, I am responsible for managing the IT operations team. Our main goal is to provide excellent customer support and look for ways to improve our reporting systems ensuring the integrity of the Bank's financial control activities, and promoting efficiency in financial management processes.
Challenges and Rewards of My Job
With today's constant changes in technology, one of the challenges is to keep current with the latest technology available. The Fed continuously tries to stay abreast of current technology and makes great investments to stay on that course.
How Is the Fed Unique?
The Fed is very unique because of its place in history. At times, the entire world is looking at what the Fed is doing and many lives are being affected by what we do and how we do it. It is an honor and a great responsibility to work for such an organization.
