Why the Fed? |
The Fed is the place to be when it comes to gaining insight on how the economy works and the importance of monetary policy. I was first attracted to the Fed because I had heard great things about personal growth as an employee, and now that I am here, I have come to witness that firsthand. |
Overall Impressions of the Summer Analyst program |
| I am very happy with the Summer Analyst Program. It not only gives one the opportunity to work with a variety of departments within the Bank, we also have a chance to network with the most respected people within the New York Fed, for example, Tim Geithner, Carl Turnipseed and Christine Cumming. Human Resources does an amazing job of balancing work with play by coordinating tours and receptions. I have been in this program for two years and I do not regret one moment of it. |
| How Is the Fed Unique? |
| The Fed is unique because of its daily executions of Treasury and intraday liquidity, the international relations it holds with foreign banks, etc. But for me personally, the Fed is unique because of its respectful work environment. |
