Why the Fed?

The Fed plays an important role in implementing monetary policy and regulating financial institutions. By working here, you know your work has a real-world impact. In addition, the Fed has a great work environment, and it is possible to have a good work-life balance.

My Responsibilities

In my role as a rotational analyst, I provide analytical and operational support to the New York Fed’s trading desk. In my past role in Domestic Money Markets, I assisted senior staff in the execution of monetary policy. In my current role in Cross Market Monitoring, I help assemble presentations on financial market developments over FOMC inter-meeting periods for the FOMC meetings.

How Is the Fed Unique?

As the country’s central bank, the Fed is in a unique position. It receives information from its dealers and from depository institutions. This allows the Fed to see what is happening in the financial market from many different view points.
