SUBJECT: Announcement Regarding December 1 Sale of Options on Repurchase Transactions
Next weeks auctions of options on repurchase agreements will take place on Wednesday, December 1, at 2:30 p.m. The FRBNY will auction $15 billion of the December 23 Strip, $25 billion of the December 30 Strip and $15 billion of the January 6 Strip. These amounts will bring the total sales of options on repos over the seven auctions between October 20 and December 1 to $114 billion of the December 23 Strip, $223 billion of the December 30 Strip and $144 billion of the January 6 Strip.
