Frandelle Gerard Appointed to New York Fed’s Community Advisory Group

NEW YORK—The Federal Reserve Bank of New York today announced the appointment of Frandelle Gerard to the New York Fed’s Community Advisory Group, effective immediately.

The Community Advisory Group is comprised of leaders of nonprofits, community organizations, foundations, and anchor institutions. The primary goal of the Community Advisory Group is to provide the New York Fed, including President John C. Williams, with a real-time view of the economic issues faced by a diverse set of communities and individuals across the Second District. Gerard’s appointment comes in advance of the Community Advisory Group’s next meeting on October 17, 2023.

Gerard is the executive director of Crucian Heritage and Nature Tourism, Inc., (CHANT) a Virgin Islands nonprofit dedicated to promoting heritage and nature tourism for St. Croix. Prior to joining CHANT in 2009, Gerard was a business counselor with the University of the Virgin Islands Small Business Development Center on St. Croix.
