NEW YORK-- The Federal Reserve Bank of New York Monday approved the notice by United National Bancorp, Bridgewater, N.J., to acquire Vista Bancorp and its bank subsidiary, Vista Bank, N.A., both of Phillipsburg, N.J., and to merge Vista Bank, N.A., with and into United Trust Bank, Bridgewater, N.J.

According to standard procedure, the proposal cannot be completed for 15 days.

The Reserve Bank acted under authority delegated by the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System.
