As part of its commitment to small businesses in the Second District, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York will cosponsor a three-part series aimed at educating and supporting the small business community in Puerto Rico. The series begins Thursday, January 31, with a forum focusing on small business financing on the Island. Federal and local government agencies will also be in attendance to provide one-on-one assistance to business owners. The next event is scheduled for the spring, and will focus on government procurement opportunities. A summer forum, meanwhile, is designed for small businesses that are interested in exporting to international markets. This series is cosponsored by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and the U.S. Virgin Islands/Puerto Rico district office of the U.S. Small Business Administration. These forums build on the New York Fed’s previous initiatives on the Island, and are consistent with the Bank’s efforts to better understand and assist small businesses in the Second District. en Español Winter Forum Agenda Event Details Access to Capital for Small Business Forum Thursday, January 31, 2013 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. AST University of Puerto Rico (Carolina Campus) Carretera 887 Bo San Anton Carolina, Puerto Rico 00984-4800 Media Contacts: U.S. Small Business Administration Angelique Adjutant 787-766-5570 angelique.adjutant@sba.gov New York Fed Kevin Sajdak 212-720-6143 kevin.sajdak@ny.frb.org |
