Community Bankers' Forum

Overview
The Bank Supervision Group of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York is pleased to host a conference for the directors and senior management of our Second district community banks. The conference will consist of presentations on current community banking issues and will provide the bankers an opportunity to discuss items of primary concern to them. Reserve Bank staff specialists from various disciplines will present a number of topics including, loan loss reserve methodologies and interest rate risk. A panel discussion on compliance risk management that will include commentary on "Check 21" will be held. Break out sessions on corporate governance for bank directors and on BSA/ U.S. Patriot Act compliance for senior management are planned. The conference will also include a presentation by one of our economists on current economic conditions and the outlook for the economy. The forum will conclude with a reception.

Registration Information
The forum will be held at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, 33 Liberty Street, 12th Floor Conference Center, New York City.
Who Should Attend
Senior management and directors of community banks.
Registration Deadline
The registration deadline is Friday, October 1, 2004.

Forum Details
Breakfast will be available at 8:30 a.m. with the conference beginning at 9:00 a.m. and ending between 4:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. A tour of the gold vault and the Federal Reserve's currency collection will be followed by a luncheon in the Officer's Dining Room. The forum will also be followed by a reception. Dress code is business attire.

The forum will be broadcasted live via the Internet on November, 17. It will also be available for viewing on the Internet for at least 30 days after the presentation.
