an Increase in Uninsured Children in New York and New

| Authors: Carol Rapaport and Reagan Murray Between 1988 and 1997, the percentage of children in New York and New Jersey receiving public health insurance increased modestly, while the percentage of children with private insurance showed a sharp decline. The net effect of these changes has been a marked rise in the share of Second District children without any health insurance. |
