The Outreach and Education function engages, empowers and educates the Second District communities that the Bank serves, especially civic leaders, students, educators, small business owners, policymakers and the general public. It furthers the Bank's commitment to the region by listening to the communities we serve and leveraging our unique attributes to positively impact school and university programs, as well as analysis and research.
Employment in the New YorkNew Jersey region will decline in 2003but only slightlyand the region's economy is poised to rebound in 2004 with 1 percent growth, or a gain of 128,000 jobs. Continued expansion in the national economy and sustained vigor in the financial markets, however, will be essential to a favorable employment outlook.
