Fields of interest
J. Benson Durham joined the Federal Reserve Bank of New York as a policy advisor in the Markets Group in September 2013. Previously, he managed portfolios of sovereign bonds across mutual funds and institutional accounts at the Capital Group Companies, was chief of the Monetary and Financial Market Analysis section and an assistant director in the Monetary Affairs division at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, and was an associate analyst in the chief investment office at TIAA-CREF. His research interests include financial asset pricing, mathematical finance, monetary policy, macroeconomics, and development economics. He has an M.Sc. in Mathematical Finance from Oxford University, Balliol College as well as a Ph.D. and a B.A. in Political Science from Columbia University and the University of California at Berkeley, respectively.
