Jan Groen is an economist in the International Research Function at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Prior to joining the New York Fed he worked as a research economist at the Bank of England, as a Research Fellow at the Bank of the Netherlands (Dutch Central Bank), and he was a member of the Econometric Institute at the Erasmus University Rotterdam. Dr. Groen graduated with a PhD in Economics from the Tinbergen Institute in Rotterdam (Netherlands). Since then he has published frequently in high ranking journals on topics such as emprical exchange rate modeling, international finance, macroeconomic forecasting and macroeconometrics, and econometric modeling.
