The Outreach and Education function engages, empowers and educates the Second District communities that the Bank serves, especially civic leaders, students, educators, small business owners, policymakers and the general public. David Lucca is a senior economist in the Capital Markets Function of the Research and Statistics Group at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, where he has worked since 2011. David’s research focuses on asset pricing, financial intermediation and banking supervision. David’s policy responsibilities include pricing agency MBS and modelling prepayments, as well advising on monetary and supervisory policy issues. Prior to joining the Bank, David was an Economist at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. David holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Northwestern University.
