Aysegul Sahin joined the Federal Reserve Bank of New York in June 2004 as an Economist in the Macroeconomic and Monetary Studies Function. Her recent research focuses on the changing structure of the unemployment duration, the risk of displacement and costs of business cycles, and the welfare effects of cyclical policies under incomplete markets. Ms. Sahin has received her Ph.D. from the University of Rochester in May, 2002. Prior to joining the Bank, she was an Assistant Professor at Purdue University's Krannert Graduate School of Management.
